I have my thick, wavy hair cut every 4 weeks and pay $28. A friend told me she never pays more than $12. Am I paying too much? No, because I finallly found someone who does a great job. A woman I used to work with drove to NYC, spent the night in a hotel and spent $600 to have her hair cut by some "famous" stylist. It looked like her 4 year-old cut it! What does a haircut cost in your area?

Depending on where you go, anywhere from $15 to close to a $100 for a cut and blow dry. Mine is usually $30.

I had my cut at Clip and curl today and it was $11. Looks pretty good too. I use to go to the beauty school and have it done for $14. and you get what you pay for......I usually came home and sniped it here and there. I found a lovely young lady today. I'm going to try to keep her. She did a perm for me about five weeks ago and it was the best I've had in a long time. Blessings, Ruth

My hair cuts, color and the cuts for my DH and DD are FREE!

I do them all! (Yes, even my own). I've done my own since I was went to cosmetology school. I did have someone cut my LONG hair off when I had it done on TV and donated to Locks of Love, but even that was free.

I think the price you pay for having someone to do your hair just the way you like it especially being thick and wavy may be high for some, but if you like the results that is what counts. Thick, wavy hair is not easy to cut and lay right.

Back in the day when I was in the corporate world I used to go to the salon downstairs from my office and get my hair cut, styled and colored every 3 weeks by Oscar. He liked to create and I had no say so what so ever in what he did but my hair always looked great and I always got a neck message as a bonus. I spent at least $130 each time I went. Now I go for a $20 quickie trim up and just let my grey hair be what it is. Oscar would have a fit if he saw me now but I'm free to quilt every day in my PJ's if I want, so who cares!

50 bucks for the works ,shampoo, color/highlights,cut style. 10 for a trim ,13 for a cut This is on the cheap end in town they charge 85-100, I can do with out the fancy schmancy for that savings lol'

I have crappy hair anyway, thin and limp I paid the big bucks a couple times I sure didn't see any diffrence. Before I became dedicated to the girl I go to now I would just drop in to greatclips, procuts, walmart etc, bout 12.00 bucks at these places just for a cut.

Around here a good cut is around 30-35.
I've been growing mine for Locks of Love so just run up to Great Clips for trims now.
My sister gets a cut and color every 5 weeks, and it's about 60 I think.

I pay $105 every 5 weeks for cut & root touch up. I think the cut alone is $50. That's not too bad of a price around here.
