Love the cat paws in the border. Great idea.

I love the paw prints -- even big, and especially with the blocky, pointed shape -- it DOES go with the cats! I agree with those who suggested a break between the cats and the paw prints -- I think that would give it more definition, and make you happier with it!

I can't decide if I like it, although I don't know why.
What do you think? Continue with it or try something else?
I also thought maybe make the paw prints out of the same print fabrics that the cats are made out of? Would that be better?
Or should I just File 13 the whole idea completely?
Thanks--
Oops.... I just realized I should have posted this in Pictures. Sorry Patrice.
I think that's a cute idea, and I too would use smaller paws, and perhaps a lighter background color for the border so the paws would show up better. Keep the paws black.

I like the idea of a narrow border to separate the cats and the paws. How about only 2 paws per square or make four on a rectangle - less seams. A mouse in each corner? I also would like to see a picture of the whole quilt. What we can can see sure looks cute.

I really like the paw prints but they do look like a lot of work to do enough for both borders. I agree with other comments about putting a narrow "stopper" border on the quilt first and then your paw print border. I might also suggest putting just a few paw print blocks in the border, maybe two or three around two opposite corners, or just randomly placed. Hope that makes sense.

I like your idea of mixing up the prints by making them with the fabric you used for the cats...that way it will look like this or that cat made the prints instead of just any cat ;-)

I was really liking that idea too till I checked and I don't have any of the fabrics left. I buy alot of fat quarters and 1/4" yds. And I used them for the cats to get rid of them.

I love the pattern on the border. Maybe you just need a little more contrast. Either a band or a lighter color in the background to set the border apart from the main blocks.

I like your border, very innovative. But as suggested an accent border, possibly in the same color as the paws and also for the binding would play this off very nicely. A mouse in each corner of the border would be cute. Nice quilt.

I love them and I would keep the paw prints brown, that way they add whimsey, but the focus of the quilt is still on the kittens! What a cute idea...
