Hi!

I love making dresden plates, I try to work one into every project.

Do you guys have a favorite pattern or a fall back pattern?

I am a novice quilter so, I love to look at lots of patterns.

Thanks!

Afton

My favorite pattern is WeatherVane. I think I've done it in every color combination, quilt and table runner size. It can be very different depending on fabrics. Plus it's quick and easy when I need something in a hurry.

My favorite pattern is always the next one that I decide to make. Then when I'm 3/4 of the way through, my wandering eye is already looking for my next favorite.

There's something about stars and patriotic themes that just calls to me.

I have to agree with Jennie :D For me to answer, would be like picking one fchild in the family to be my favorite..... just can't. Nopers on that --- couldn't if I had too.

I really love intricate piecing. Kaleidoscoped blocks are a standby for me...I just love how they turn out! I'm also the sucker for tiny piecing. I'll make a twin size quilt out of 1" squares, swear I'll never do it again, and start something similar to it the next day. Right now I'm doing a queen size quilt using 2" half-triangle blocks. I hate it, swear I'll never do it again, and my quilt kit to make 4" courthouse steps for a throw just came in...I'll never learn, I just love the finished project too much. :)
