close friend turning 50, I need some help

I made her a purple yoga bag, but this is not enough for such a monumental event in her life. She dreads getting older and she is a few years younger than I am. When she turned 40 I worked for a company that had conferences with every facility attending. I was able to hand out 40 postcards to people from the midwest, and east coast, then they took the cards to their homes and mailed a birthday wish to her. They wrote the cards so she would think the people had known her all of her life. I had so much fun when she received them because she couldn't figure out who these people were, and then how they knew her or who put them up to writing her.
She is a great practical joker, so I thought maybe people from the board would be willing to send her a birthday card. My goal would be to receive a card from 50 different places so if you are willing to participate, I would really appreciate it.
At our yoga class, she and I joke about each other being our only friends so when we had laughter yoga we didn't have another friend to bring along. So would you please add that you are my friend from the quilting board and would she like to be friends too.
Her mother and grandmothers were quilters but she helped outside on the farm so she didn't learn that skill. She does appreciate quilting and she is a great woodworker and made my sewing cabinets.

50, in July she will celebrate her 25th wedding anniversary, and in Nov her husb turns 55. They live on an acreage in Iowa and have sheep, mules, huge horses, chickens, pheasants, cats, dogs, peacocks and various other birds. She is an EMT volunteer, and willing to help anyone. She works as a park and rec supervisor and is very athletic. They built a house and she is making all the wood work, trim and stairway railings out of cherry. She does exquisite woodworking, and is talented in so many areas. Her birthdate is May 26, and she is expecting me to do something, so if she receives her cards after her birthday that would be fine because she will think I am not doing anything. Her favorite color is purple, she has perennial gardens and likes to garden. She also likes spicy foods and likes to try new recipes. She does not care for chicken or turkey but will try them, she loves shrimp, and Mexican food.

Oh what a shame..I won't be able to get it to her in time for her birthday, if only you had requested sooner! Well I bet you will have lots of offers from all our friends here!![/quote]
Izy that is how it will be a surprise for her, because she is expecting something for her birthday she will not expect it to come after birthday. Her husband is having a party for her in June so it would arrive by then, if you still wanted to send a card for her.
