If you were going to create an art quilt using the fusible web applique method what animal pattern would you want? Would you want it realistic? Whimsical? Close-up? Landscape?
Can't wait to hear your answers :)

I like them all, but realistic is my first choice.

I like realistic dogs. Don't know about a theme - I did 'Dog Days of Summer' and 'Stairway to Airedale Heaven'. Maybe agility or obedience training?

One of each? I'm trying to do some realistic birds now, but I love whimsical ones...

Thanks so much for the suggestions thus far. It would be helpful if you could be more specific for example for birds would you like parrots? Chickadees? Cardinals? Sparrows? Doves?
Animals? Foxes? Horses? Moose? Deer? Elk?
Sea Life? Whales Dolphins? Sea Lions? ... :)

I like the McKenna Ryan patterns. Her patterns are great, just a matter of finding the right fabric and color to use for whatever you are cutting. Great scissors and accurate cutting skills are necessary for success.

I like water. I made one with mules and there were mountains and trees. I liked making it and there was a good story to go with it. This is a favorite to me. I have also made the chickadee during the day from a McKenna Ryan pattern. The trees had limbs with pine cones on them. Sent that to my girlfriend. I like the Moose Crossing by McKenna Ryan, too, made that and gifted it to a dear friend's husband. Batiks are perfect for anything in nature. Scraps are just wonderful to use, too.
