Taught kindergarten one year, 24/7 mom for 16 years then got a K-12 baby sitting license from state of FL (subst. teacher with a BA in anything) and subbed in everything from k through 12 for one year. Discovered I love teenagers I think because I never completely grew up. Then law school while kids did a lot of my former chores and DH cooked (gag!). In private practice 3.5 years not making any money (where are the rich clients?) I'd always wanted to be Perry Mason and hired on with Public Defender's office and worked at trial skills, did a lot of social work in that roll, often 60 hrs/week, I was very good at it. Retired early after ten years of that as DH was ready to hang it up after 33 years in aerospace. While working as full time mom that included class mother, volunteer in school library, band booster, swim team booster, scouts, you name it. Still do some volunteer work. Haven't had a migraine since the day I retired.

I was a bookkeeper for many young years, an Antiques Appraiser after my children were mostly grown. Now retired - but an active Grandma of 10, mother of 4, wife of 36 years tomorrow.

You look way to young to have a 20 and a 25 year old.
I thought the exact same thing!

Looking forward to the responses though.
I disagree you do have an important job, just not one outside the home.

If I could find work in my schooled profession I would be a Medical Office specialist or medical claims analyst.

Honey, you have the most important job in the world! I was a stay at home mom until youngest of 4 started kindergarten. Enjoy your little one(s)! And don't ever think you don't have a "job"!
