This is a tip I received from The Quilt Place in Rockledge, FL.
To clean the Sole Plate of your iron, heat your iron and place a Bounce dryer sheet on a paper towel and run your iron back and forth over the dryer sheet. Your iron will glide like a brand new iron and smell good too!!

Do not use the foam type dryer sheets.

Thank you so much for sharing this but I have to ask. Do you mean an unused Bounce Dryer sheet? I am guessing yes, but I have been known to guess wrong a lot. :)

I am going to try this right away. Although I don't buy Bounce I am thinking generic should still work
