For some reason the post office can't seem to get their act together. I had no trouble shipping stuffed envelopes until about 2 weeks ago and now nobody around me will accept them all taped. Everyone seems to have a different experience, including me. What a pain!
I'm one of the unlucky ones that has had the flat rate envelope refused at the post office. The guy at the window said they are cracking down but evidently some are still getting thru. I'm with Sue---sure wish they would be consistent.

Hmmm...I'd suggest you print out the pages that were listed above about the "ruling from on high" and take that with you to the PO. if you don't get satisfation..email through the USPS web site and ask for assistance. It might work...

and remember, the Big Blue Box will not argue with you if you drop in an envelope with the correct online postage.

Our post office has cracked down on flat rate envelopes - it seems that the regular flat cardboard envelopes have to be flat so no stuffing like before so the padded ones are the way to go!!! The only way to get these is to order them since the post office doesnt have them on hand. Thanks from all who didnt know this.

I just used one of these to send a summer package to my grandchildren in Michigan. They were long enough for us to put long water pumps in them for the kids to play with outside. We couldn't have sent them in a regular flat rate box.
