Okay.. I drew this up in "paint" on my computer.

I'm a BIG fan of Vera Bradley's Hipster bag.
I can see this having the same length/drop although the strap could be made any length.

I also am envisioning seasonal/holiday themed dahlia purses!
(...and I haven't even made a dahlia yet!)

Another thought is a chair-back cover. It could be stunning, especially with a holiday theme where each chair back is outfitted with a cover so the dahlia provides an upper-back cushion effect. I think it would appear so luxurious, especially if coordinated with a table centerpiece dahlia. Elegant.

But for singles, I love the drawing of the dahlia tote and the idea as well for a hatbox type lid for "treasures."

This is an idea I hadn't thought of.

Sev. people have asked for the pattern/directions. If you'll Google "Folded Dahlia" the first on the list is one from "dungeonquilter" of the QB & is the one I used.

I will be happy to talk anybody through rough spots when you try one. If you love them, don't hesitate to try one. You don't need to be an experienced quilter to make them. After all, it's only bits of fabric. All 4" pcs. & a plain backing.

They are 12" in diameter with unfinished edges. They are also a bit heavier than I expected. I've taken a pix to try to show up how puffy they are. Guess I'll have to put it in the pix section so ck. there.

My Goodnees Pat,look what you started.lol.I have a cookie tin that is about 10" across and maybe 8-10" tall. I think I might try putting one on the top of it,like someone suggested.I think it will make a really nice sewing box for my daughter. she doesn't sew much. This way her scissors, thread buttons and all are together. Thanks for starting this thread. Mary
Yep, isn't it great when we can get so many people excited about something?
I love the idea of putting one on the front of a tote as well as the top of a tin. What a treasure of a sewing box for your daughter.
I hope everybody who loves them will try one.
