I recently purchased a White 1099 Sewing Machine from a seller on ebay. It does not have a manual and I'm planning on getting a manual once I get the machine (it's in transit). Is there is a website that might be able to give me a manufacturing date and general information about the machine? The review on PatternReview.com was not much help.

Call this number with the serial number from the machine when you get it and they'll give you a date/year it was made.

You can get the manual from the Singer website, when you get to the page where you can do a manual search, type in
W1099 and your manual should be there.

Thank you so much for the help. That's just what I needed.

Double thanks for the link to the FREE manual. I was going to pay $10.00 for it from another vender. Thanks so much.
