I am thinking we will use the bias tape to make fan sew arc on with... also to make lovely lines on the fan shape...

All I have is a glue stick so that will be what I'll use today. I may leave some to do tomorrow and see if I can find that other spray. It's be easier to use, I'm sure.

Did we get a list of this stuff we were suppose to have on hand? I must have missed something in my preparations. I didn't see template plastic or glue. Hmph! I used freezer paper for the templates and it worked just fine. Whew! Okay, on to the glue. Hope my glue sticks are still moist.

The requirements were on the first page of installment one-the second page had the cutting... I am going to trial a glue stick I have at home here - I have quilt basting spray -would that work?

I don't know of any reason why basting spray wouldn't work. It washes out doesn't it?
I just realized I probably glanced at the supply list and thought, "Oh, the usual stuff, sewing machine, etc." and didn't read the whole list. Oh, well. I'm doing fine so far! Well, kind of. I'm on a break for my back right now. It said it was rest time and so I shall!

Yvonne,

I might be mistaken (being that I am quite the newbie) but it is ok if the basting spray washes out because it will be quilted onto the fabric by that time.

Please tell me if I am wrong, because I am using the spray.

In the directions she says to, " and spray lightly with the 505 Spray, or dot with water soluble glue stick." That 505 is a basting spray so I'd say you're good to go. I have no idea. I've never used that stuff. But I will some day soon.
