My first thought was tote bags/purses. They can be as simple or elaborate as you want to make them. Everyone uses totebags.

I would make something seasonal .... harvest or Christmas ... table runner, Christmas stockings, tree skirt .....

Buy inexpensive dish towels and embellish both ends with quilted strips made of about 1.5" x3" pieces sewn side by side, I make a larger piece and then cut into strips to save time ,or small blocks. Makes lovely placemats, too
