Seems the number of hours I sleep every night is changing, have been waking at 3 - 3:30 am and not able to get back to sleep. Anyone else have this problem?

I get to sleep by 11-11:30 but by 1:00 AM I'm wide awake again! Ridiculous!! Get total of maybe 4 hours a night.

I fall asleep between 7:30 pm and 8, good thing I DVR shows and watch later on.
Today I spent organizing, got the bathroom done, everything put back, almost done with another room.
Am tired though.

Yes, I found I was also waking early and then with my mind endlessly processing ,I couldn't get back to sleep. This was a problem as I am full time chemistry teacher ( and carer).
Cured myself by accident when I decided that this term I would go into work an hour earlier ,I set alarm for 5.50am, i make myself get up, don't allow myself any nap during day and am falling asleep as soon as head reaches pillow at 11pm.

A side benefit is that I now get a lot of my school preparation and marking done before I get home !!

i sleep a lot better when i don't nap in the afternoon. also, since i have been eating healthier food, i'm able to stay awake longer in the day. then, i'm tired when i retire about 10-11pm

It's been a recent problem for me-no idea why. . .I fall asleep as soon as I turn the light off, and then wake up an hour later and just lie there hoping to get back to sleep. And I'm not a day napper, either!

I do the exact same thing. Then I wake up between 12 and 2 and watch recorded stuff. The only bad thing is I want to drift off around 4 and the alarm goes off a half hour later.
