My Pfaff 7570 has a stitch that looks hand sewn. Invisible on the top thread and cotton/polyester in the bobbin. Set needle thread taut and loose bobbin tension. The stitch number is 11 on my machine. Like a triple stitch. I always test before
starting on the quilt.

I think you're right, seems I've seen an ad for a machine that does this. Makes me wonder about all the "hand quilted" merchandise from third world countries that's available so cheap in some stores.

I have a quilting stitch on my Bernina 150QE that looks like handquilting. I think it's invisible thread on top and color in the bobbin. The thicker the batting, the better the stitch looks. Takes alot to get adjusted to look nice on W&N batting.

But hey nothing takes the place of handquilted. I love handquilting and it relaxes me in the evening. I used to handquilt for others when I lived in KY. I would to get back into that again. Give handquilting a try, you just might find a new enjoyment of quilting.

My Pfaff Quilt Expression 2044 has a " hand quilting stitch". Must use invisible thread in bobbin and like all sewing, it takes some practice to get it right. Slow, uses a lot of bobbins and corners are tricky. I don't use it for all over quilting.
