Default Making award ribbons for quilt show

Somewhere I ran across a tutorial for making award ribbons (for quilt shows). Was it here on the board or not? If not, does anyone know a good site for what I need? I've looked 'til my eyes hurt! Thanks in advance for any help you can suggest. We got a show coming up soon and I'd like to get started a.s.a.p!

The Nacogdoches Texas quilt guild had some very pretty ones. I went to the show and saw them. Maybe someone in their guild is on the board.

Here's a you tube video that assembles a rosette. He uses an old turn table, but you can use a lazy susan from the kitchen:

As far as the pleated ribbon is concerned, just use the pleater attachment on your sewing machine (sometimes called a ruffler) If you don't have one, I'm sure someone in your guild has one, it's a pretty common accessory. Here's a pic in case you are not familiar with it:

They are adjustable, you you might need to experiment a bit with the settings to get a pleat spacing you like. I would then just use a large self covered button for the center. You could embroider something on the fabric first...

Here is a ribbon (front and back) from one of my guild's quilt shows:

It is 5" square and made like a coaster with six squares of fabric. Four are folded into half-square triangles with one placed at each side.

The current issue of SEW BEAUTIFUL magazine has some beautiful ribbons in an article.
