Default No EQ8 in the foreseeable future

I had talked to the EQ people before I started my EQ lessons to make sure I was okay with them for doing the lessons. Which they approved.. so a while ago one of the EQ ladies asked to see my lessons.

She was really supportive and nice and informative.

So I had someone say they wondered about buying EQ7 now or waiting til EQ8 came out in the future.
Yesterday I found her email in my mail and I sent a message asking about the future of EQ8.
Here is her reply so you all will know their plans.

Hello Rhonda,
We have not been thinking of an EQ8. Everything in our plans for the next years involves EQ7.

Best wishes,

Penny

Thanks so much for the update. I have EQ 7 and am thrilled that I won't have to "upgrade" any time soon.

I can't think of any new features that EQ7 needs. Maybe just tweaking the features that are on it now. The grid lines are not as smooth drawing as the earlier versions.

Exactly what I was told at the Houston International Quilt Show this last weekend - so, I purchased EQ7. Now to learn the program!

Agree it's refreshing to not have to be a slave to frequent upgrades which cost money...makes me feel more confident in the product and values behind the brand.

My experience with the people at EQ has been really great. They are nice and very willing to help. I have called and asked questions and always get a person not put on hold. Tho it has been awhile since I called them.

I was rather hoping for a Mac version myself!

You could email them or call them and ask about a mac version. The info to contact them is above in my post
