Default Three Quilts for Hurricane Sandy Families

I finished these three very simple quilts for children and will send them off on Monday, for Hurricane Sandy victims. Hope they can serve as hugs from far away, for some little people who have been through a lot....

I am sure they will be appreciated. I live in an area that was hit pretty hard, as we are 1/2 mile from the water. My family were lucky as we sustained no damage, just inconvience. What I saw while driving today was pretty sad. Almost a month after the storm, there are piles of people's lives on the curb for pick up. The sanitation trucks was picking up on a Sunday. I'm having a hard time fathoming what it must be like for an 84yo woman to have her house gutted, and all her furniture out at the curb. My mom's friend was in an area not close to the beach that was flooded out from a creek not far from her house. I can't even imagine what is going through her head. Furniture that was 60 years old? Ughhh..
