that is a very beautiful quilt. I would be tempted to just put a binding on it if you don't need a border to create a bigger size. with just a binding it will give it a modern feel. would love to see how you finish it.

that is one beautiful quilt, if I ever get around to creating something that lovely I think I'd happily retire from quilting

Wow! 9 patch within a 9 patch and the other beautiful block to boot. Nice work. Only you can decide what and if you're going to finish it off. I, too, have a quilt that's just about at this stage, waiting for borders. I've had the prairie points and borders cut out for years. When it gets to be too much, I put it aside for a while. Eventually I find it again and work on it some more. Good luck. I look forward to seeing the finished product! If you don't put on the borders will you regret it? If not, then it doesn't matter who puts them on. If you're a picky person, then, I suggest you put the quilt aside for a time, then pick it up when you're ready to finish it. By the time this happens, you'll probably wish you would have finished it sooner! Sometimes people just need a break from something.

Simply amazing! Patience plus in piecing this!

I've sat back recently trying to figure out 'why' I like certain quilts more than others. On one of the postings some said that the borders made the quilt seem to 'float' and I think that 'floating' imagery in what draws me to a quilt.

"Float" comes from using the same main background as the first (or only) border. Audition some colors for your border and try using the same background fabric for your first border.

Lovely, simply lovely.

Oh my gosh, words cannot describe how beautiful to the eye that is. How long did it take you to make all those pieces. Love, love and love.

It's beautiful! Definitely one I want to try! As to the border...have no idea what to suggest but just wanted to say what you've done up to now is simply amazing. Am hoping to get this pattern when I go to the states.

Absolutely stunning quilt. I can quite see why it has been suggested to do solid borders. anything else would detract from the main body of the quilt. I personally would go solid, would surely make this stunner pop even more.
