I finally made a picture of the scrappy log cabin top! It will be called 'Brained Border' Just ask QuiltE why!
Thanks to the Aussie strips I could finish it, now it still needs to be quilted. No, not hand quilted!!

That's great, Anael. I'm not a fan of Log Cabin but I really like that one; it's scrappy, but the control of the layout makes it special. That border is amazing! How did you get that to fit when I have trouble with unpieced borders???

JanRN ... it's all about the Dutch Touch!
Anael .... whaaaaaaaaaaat??? You have your NI all done??? already??
Your Brained Border (and centre!)really sparkles ... I think you said the logs finish at 3/4", so yes, you could hand quilt it, just go up the middle of the logs! Normally, I'm the traditionalist, especially for the "old" patterns ... with this layout, you've proven to me how everything old can be new again! Love it! Amazing!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, just a few blocks I'm doing QAYG
Thanks for the compliments! Yes the logs finish at 3/4" and no, I'm not going to hand quilt it.
It's easy to fit the border, just start with a square, add logs and cut both ends when it's long enough

Anael .. great LC. I'm not familiar with nearly insane, going to have to look that one up - but I like the block you posted (especially the fabric choices!).
As for me, unlike Anael I don't have a finished project to show AND the start of a new one. I'm a lazy quilter
But I have an excuse. My step-son has been visiting us so I've been "playing" with him. Sadly in a few hours we leave for the airport to send him home to his new venture entering University in Sheffield England. We're both sad and excited for him. Going to miss him loads (he was here for 6 weeks) but we're so excited he's in Uni. On the bright side I can go back to coming home from work and immediately removing my bra! I love the kid to death but he was cramping my "style"

Well DHM, the most insane block is this one:

over 230 pieces in a 6" finished block.......yes, I'm certifiably nuts
Great you had such a good time with your step-son. Sorry he was cramping your style
