Love that bright colored quilt Anael! My kitty is always on my quilt - especially when I'm quilting. Must be the layers of fabric and batting they love.

I think they are giving you hints, Anael .... that they want their very own quilty thrones!

You already look like you have a good start on this one. As for taking a long time, not so much with the speed you tackle things! Looks like it will be a fun one to do, as you can do so many different designs and not just have a block sampler, for a quilting sampler too! Always love your brights!

They have their own ones QuiltE They both claimed the Brained Border and the small Spider Eyed one.

Thanks for the compliments! I'm doing all the yellow pieces first, and while quilting those thinking about what to do with the other colours. Not so speedy......but that's ok. Imagine I won't have any UFO's left

Wow, NO UFO's left! OMG Anael, I sure wish I could say the same. I'm working on two quilts at once right now! I'm putting borders on my Grand Illusion, and trying to decide how I want to continue on the last Mystery Train Ride Quilt (I have the 12 blocks completed and think I might want to make it bigger). Plus I have a stack of flimsys that need to be sandwiched and quilted. Yikes!!!

I must be brain damaged. That's the only explanation I have for the stoopid thing I did.

I had 3 DJ blocks pieced and set aside to do the appliqué on while I honed my needle turn skills. Finally, the time arrived and I knocked two of them off in the last two evenings.

Because I was going to appliqué them and *handle* them a lot, I didn't trim them down to 5" before hand.

While sitting and watching TV I appliqued. I "eye-balled" the placement of the leaves. Not a problem, I'm good at "eye ball".

However ... I neglected to check that my appliqué was going to reside entirely within the 5" of the block!!

I just went into the sewing room to trim them down, and one of them ALL FOUR leaves have to be removed and re-sewn. The other only one leaf.

Dang and blast it!!!

IF there are no UFO's you are one in a million; but we knew that anyway...
Bummer DHMom...it is close to spring though and the frogs will soon be singing "rip it rip it" instead of you.

DHMom ... Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOO ... how terrible!

MiraB and Anael ... I'm laughing right along with you, MiraB. Though the way she has been racing along, it just might be true! Look at what those kitties have done to her ... Energizer Bunny on the loose! Yeaaaaa for the kitty quilts, but you let them have the Brained Border? OMG!
