    Default Batik block swap quilt

This one is mine. The flimsy is posted here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t206906.html

I did a lot of experimentation on this one. The batting is a goodwill wool blanket my DH picked up for like $3. Then I put a layer of hobbs polydown on top of that to give the quilting definition. This one is definitely gonna be warm! It is quilted entirely with Invisifil thread a 100 wt polyester thread that handles like silk. Freehand and ruler work, golden threads paper were the techniques I used. I had a hard time narrowing down what pictures to share. Quilted on my Innova longarm.

The whole quilt and some selected block closeups.

This is a modifyed Karen McTavish design

Another tattoo. If I did this over I would leave the gecko unquilted and do heavy background fill to get him to pop up off the surface.

As always I eagerly anticipate your comments. Even if you don't like I want to hear because then I can better cater my quilting to other tastes.

Gorgeous!! Look at the line sag under the weight, that is going to be toasty warm this winter. The gecko reminds me of an aboriginal painting, very neat. Love all your amazing quilting!

I think this is the very best example of quilting I have ever seen. Your work of art is so very very beautiful. I hope you enter this in a show and work toward national competition with this quilt; I know you would win many awards for it.

Your quilt is a stunner! I just love using 2 battings and I've tried several combinations, but your wool blanket sounds like a great idea! I'm going to check my good will for those. Thanks for sharing this beautiful work of art!

Well done! Thanks for the close-ups of the quilting. I find them inspiring for my own quilting.
