What is your go to pattern for a wedding gift quilt...hopefully fairly simple?

I read your post about fabric and tula pink has awesome seashell fabric out there. Not sure what the line is called tho.
My daughter is getting married on the beach in May. Her decor is seashells/starfish. I am trying to find fabric now with seashells, etc on it and will embroider beach scenes/palm trees/seashells on the squares if I have time.
So, I am going with her wedding theme.
I had also thought about cutting out squares and having all the guests sign each square and then assemble a quilt.
For our wedding his sister made us a quilt that was his favorite pattern when he was a child. Baskets with flowers embroidered above the vases.

My favorite go to pattern is the wonderful Trip Around the World. It can have so many different looks. You can use as many or as few fabrics you want (I like 8 fabrics) and some borders.
Keep in mind what part of Italy they will be in, the cooler north or the warmer south, both for colors and weight.

Im makig a different style each time, I just try to find out their colors, my daughter got one for people to sign but the others will get a couch cuddle size! They will love whatever you make so I dont think the patterns that important! My opinion
