Default Border Finalists--Appreciate your help so much

I have counted the votes as best I could given that the pictures sometimes mushed together. So I redid the pictures, tried to fold the fabric better, numbered the pictures and this is what I come up with. I still would appreciate knowing if you think I finally got it right. For once, I was trying to follow a pattern, and the lighter border just didn't do a thing for me. One person suggested flipping the border and that is what I did. I really like the red paisley to kind of separate the blocks from the border. It won't be very wide when finished, but I think that maybe I like this one best.

    2. This is using a border fabric, cutting it down and then using the paisley beside it.

    3. Although third in the posting, I think this is maybe my second choice. Narrow side of green border to the quilt, but I think it needs that paisley separation in the first?? I have confessed many times that I am color challenged. I don't know the mechanics of color, just know when I think it "looks right" and it may or may not be to everyone else.

    4. This is with a green stripe inserted. I would have to try and find some more material as only have a smidgen left, but I don't think maybe it flows to the border well that it either needs to be narrower?? It seems somewhat abrupt to me.

    5. Finally this is the one with the gold border and paisley stripe. I do have enough of this fabric. Thought I took a picture of this gold with stripey border, but guess not.

I thank you so much for taking the time to look at these. Your comments are even more valuable as I learn from them about resting the eye, continuity, and I also learned that the lighter border was a "no-go" which I thought in the first place. It seemed to work with the fabric that was used in the pattern but not so much with these. Merry Christmas to you all and again, I appreciate your time.

Does the narrow gold border look good with the red-flowered border in 1,3,and 4? I was thinking that you liked the idea of a narrow solid but that the green wasn't doing it. I like that concept, too.

    hugs,
