    Default My new cutting/ironing "table."

We have recently remodeled our kitchen. When we had the house built 10 years ago, we had a VERY small island. We tore that out and built a preparation area / fabric cutting area. We had an island built in. It is 39" x 75" by 36" high. I had a cutting table in mind when I was designing my kitchen. It also has a space under the granite to fit a telescoping stool. It is cherry wood with a Glazed Java finish and has a granite top. I love it. It is the right height and just right for folding fabric onto boards for storing. Just wanted to share my Christmas gift.

Beautiful. You have a very nice surface to work on.
I no longer have to use any other part of my house for sewing. I have the largest room in the house for my sewing room.

I use my kitchen island for cutting and ironing also! It's the perfect height.
