Default blue jean quilt

This summer when my sister and I visited an old neighbor, she asked if I ever made a quilt using blue jeans. I said no, but I would like to make one, but need to get some blue jeans. She had a huge pile of blue jeans from her husband and son that she wanted to get rid of. I took less than half the pile and started cutting the blue jeans up.
I deceided to make a quilt for my co-worker, who helped me move the day after Thanksgiving. I used some plaid material that I already had and backed it with a flannel sheet. It's a utility quilt, so I actually made it for the car to use in the winter. Hope you like it. I am working on a quilt for my neighbor and also one for myself. When I see her this summer, I 'll take more blue jeans home and work on more quilts.

Great job! I love jean quilts, have only made 1 about 7 years ago for my grandson. I've since save lots more jeans, precut them into 6.5 inch sqs and some just cut the legs off for strips for more quilts. You've ignited my excitement to get going on making more!

Oh that looks neat!! great idea. I just cut up the legs of three pair of jeans that were not going to charity. I may make a rag quilt out of them for my cats to lay on. I really, really had to make myself cut them up too. I hate doing that to clothes but these couldn't be given away.
