SheriR if your squishie from me is not forwarded, hopefully it will be returned to my address and I will remail to the correct address. As i mailed your birthday package on Monday 1/5/15 we should know if you receive it by next week. Let me know for sure or if I receive it back I will post that.

To answer the question of how addresses of the participants were obtained so early, as I received each package, I noted on my tracking spreadsheet the names and addresses of everyone from their envelopes.

Yay... I won a contest! Thanks, Barb.

The mail service has been getting worse and worse. I mailed a swap package out in Nov. that sat in one of the post offices in transit for TWO WEEKS... for no reason! I sent it priority and it took three weeks... Should have sent it first class, I guess, and saved money and time.

It's probably not a good idea to mail our candy packages out until Barb posts the addresses, for a number of reasons. Maybe this can be included in the new rules?

When one starts to micro manage and feel the need to post rules to order every little thing it takes the fun out of it for me. We are not children but adults and I would hope we are treated as such.

In my humble opinion mailing early should not be a rule breaking offense. I did so because it worked best for me and my schedule. If that puts me outside of the "rules" then I would need to evaluate my participation in that particular swap.

Also an address correction is an easy and stress free fix.

I don't thinks it's bad to send in advance. Advance is way better than late. I should have mentioned my move sooner to barb. I wasn't thinking. I'm sure anything mailed will be forwarded. It all has been so far! I think this has been such a fun swap! Barb is surely the greatest hostess!

so I am caught up on contests (for now) our next birthday is DoriDes January 10th which is Saturday...so look for the next contest Sunday (hopefully).

Click on your name, and then "view profile". Then there is a blue box at the top right that says "customize my profile". You should be able to make changes from there.

There are different options for following a thread. At the top of a page click on "Thread tools" and then "subscribe to this thread". Then you will get the options. Under notifications, none of the email options has ever worked for me, so I click on "through my control panel only". Then for the folder button, I leave it on 'subscriptions', and then finish by clicking on "add subscription" button at the bottom.

Then, when you log on to the board, click on "settings" at the very top right, and any of your subscribed threads with new posts will come up in a list. If you click on the little blue button at the beginning of the title, it takes you to the last post you have read in that thread.

They couldn't have made it any more complicated if they tried!
