    Default Leaders and Enders

I just ordered the quilt book by Bonnie Hunter called "Leaders and Enders" I thought that it might have some simple patterns in it that my DH could make. Do any of you have this book? If so, do you like it? And, are the patterns simple enough for beginning quilter to do? The ones on the front of the book looked pretty and simple. Its coming by Media mail. So, it'll take a few days to get here. I want to try and get to the mail before he does cause I want to surprise him with it.

Her piecing is simple..but the patterns have a gazillion pieces! I agree with Quilts4charity. Check out her free patterns at her website www.quiltville.com . The free patterns are on the right side. I did her Celtic Solstice mystery. Her instructions are clear, so if you are careful and take your time, should be no problems.

I had this book and sold it. I'd say that all the info on creating & using leaders & enders is on her website, as are most of the patterns. There is an errata to note:

The patterns on the website have more instruction I think. Magazines and Book publishers sometimes cut information the reader could really use.
I have all her books and think they are great

Nope, you are right, nothing for "2". The OP didn't mention "2", so I thought she was talking about the first one, which does have several corrections.

if you visit Bonnie's web site & check out her blog- she has 'free' leader's = ender's projects that you can check out while waiting for your book- they are easy enough for a beginner; a great way to use up scraps; fun; and very striking when finished- really giving you a feeling of accomplishment.
