Your quilt story could be turned into a very nice book. Seriously.

I know when I first start a scrappy that I just can never imagine how it will look when finished but I have learned by experience to just "GO FOR IT" and it always turns out wonderful. Your quilt is an outstanding example. We would never have matched some of those fabrics but when they fall into place with so many other mismatched pieces they, as if my magic, turn into a glorious riot of color that is pleasing to see. Everyone, be bold and make those scrappy quilts with abandon.

Beautiful quilt, if I could part with it, I would also pass along the story as well!

As I make a quilt I think about the person I am giving it to. Remember lots of fun stories about them, experiences we shared together, and all the love I have for them. This quilt is everyone all wrapped up together for you. I agree...this is definitely YOUR quilt. What a lovely way to see this beautiful quilt. Thanks for sharing both the quilt and your thoughts.

I love your quilt but even more the words to describe it and family. We will have our family reunion in July, so I copied your words to share with the family as I will have a quilt to auction. The money we make at our family auction is given to a food pantry to feed the hungry and this pantry is named after our niece that was murdered by her husband.

I love your story and your quilt, I wish I could put my thoughts into words as well as you do.
