Default another how should I quilt this thread.

This one is my baby. I'm in the middle of ripping out bad quilting stitches in another one and thought maybe I'd ask for advice on this one before I even put the quilt sandwhich together. I really love this one and my heart went into it. I don't know how may times I have screwed something up first and then asked. Just don't want to take the chance of ruining this one. It's the actual quilting that I am not very good at. with that in mind what do you think? I don't like to quilt over appliques. And this quilt has them randomly placed and the trees are huge appliques. If I ever finish this I may have to hang it on the wall and not let anyone touch it.

OMGsh! This is gorgeous. I have no idea how you would quilt it. It would be a dilemma for me too. I'm sure someone will come up with something.

Sorry, no how to quilt suggestions, I struggle with that myself...I think it's harder to decide how to quilt it when you do have applique, and or a complicated pattern/fabric. Can't get too much going on.
I do a lot of applique as well..and struggle every time with how do I quilt this??...
    Love your quilt, tho...

It is a fabulous quilt! ... and I can see why it took so much time. I would think simpler would be better on this one --- outlining appliques and stitch in the ditch or a short distance from the ditch, emphasizing the doors. It will be interesting to see what others suggest. You have done beautiful work on this one!

Beings you've spent so much time and energy on this beautiful quilt... and if it were mine.... hand quilting is what I'd do. Some stitching inside each door panel, then a stipple in the background. Your quilt is REALLY nice!

Beautiful piece and would keep it simple on the quilting. I agree hand quilting would be perfect on this one.

I'm in the hand quilt group on this one also. Very unique and fun quilt! I can see why you are so proud of it. Is this your own design?

Whether you do hand or machine quilting I agree that simple is best for this one. I would outline the doors, outline the panels in the doors and outline around the appliqués. This is a fantastic quilt!
