I did the first one with lots of dif materials. love the scrappy look, and how it all comes together to make the waves. And I also love Batiks, so putting the two together. Also the book that I have with the pattern shows it done with lots of colors. Will try tom to maybe post a pic of the first one, and all can see what bad shape it is in

My Storm at Sea was done in Turquoise and Purples with a little green and royal blue thrown in the mix. Good Luck

Have always been fascinated with this pattern but haven't been brave enough to tackle it...Your fabrics are truly beautiful and I too am looking forward to seeing the finished quilt.

Default cutting

Ok. second day of cutting, got interrupted lol with company So today we added 20 (6 1/2 in squares)60 white diamonds. and 100 half square triangles.This is the way i keep it organized. I place each group of pieces in a sandwich bag, and write on the front. And you can reuse your bags over and over.

I have two that are waiting to be done. They are the next on my list. They will be oversized twins for my kids to use at my parents house. Would love to see how you do it.

When I start sewing I will post each step. I always cut all my pieces out first. and I try to have them organized lol notice i said try This pattern as 2 dif finished blocks, the center ones, and then a row that is different that goes around the border. tomorrow will be another day of cutting.
