My new-old Singer 319W
I just brought back my Grandmother's Singer model 319W (green machine in a blonde wood cabinet) this weekend, and took it into my local repairman....Machine has not been used in over 40 years, full of old hardened oil, dirt, etc.......I am so hoping that he can get her loosened up, cleaned up, and running.
The pack of "Fashion Discs" was there in the drawer, but no manual, bobbins, or attachments. I am just SEW EXCITED!!!
Wish us luck in getting her back into working order - and then on my search for needles (understand she takes a special one) and feet..........

Good luck getting it smoothly running.
I have a 206K, 2 306Ks, and a 319W. I like this series of machines quite a bit. The needles you'll need are 206x13 and are only made in 2 sizes (11 and 14?...not sure). Another option is to have the bobbin case machined to accept standard 15x1 needles. ManicMike has all the details!
Of all the Singer machines I've come across, these are the most quirky. They are also some of the coolest-looking. My 319 produces beautiful stitches (especially from the cam stack), though the motor is only a .53.

I have a 319w in a straw case. It is so heavy (25 pounds). I really don't like it that much. (Maybe find a new home someday.) But it does have lots of stiches, cams, with it. Have fun with your new toy, just don't drop it on your foot. LOL

Not sure if I'm allowed to post the URL as it's on my blog, so do a Google search for "Singer 320K2 bobbin case mod" and it comes up first. The 319 bobbin is the same as the 320.
