Default What shall I quilt in this block?

    Good day all!
I am finally ready - physically and mentally - to quilt this embroidered Sunbonnet Sue quilt - the one I lost for over a year. It is all embroidered on a preprinted panel and the blue lines will disappear with water or laundering. I have outlined the blocks but am unsure what to do IN the blocks. The batt is to be quilted between 8 & 10 inches. so I need something.
I've downloaded and printed out (several copies) line drawing of a SB Sue and have outlined Sue as much as possible - done radiating lines out - FMQ a meandering butterfly flight - did a chain of daisies (the borders are embroidered yellow daisies.

Those are so adorable - I do not have a quilting suggestion, do you have a picture of the entire quilt or are you doing a quilt-as-you-go?

On my SBS sample, I stitched an echo close around the figures and mini stippled the background.

I'm a little worried about quilting so close as to take away from the embroidery

because sue is so bright and cheerful, i think the radiating lines will highlight that feeling

Should I echo sue first then do radiating lines?

I cross hatched my Sunbonnet Sue background but mine were made from fabric using EB book.

I'm kind of glad the second photo snuck in!
How did you do that? I mean the color behind the embroidery.
    Paint?
    a preprinted panel?
