This is a fantastic idea - yet we have family visiting - meaning time in sewing room is limited. I will however be reading how this all went!

Another placemat quilted been an absolute bear to do. The backing fabric is flimsy and I should have sewn in different directions on alternate rows still only four more to do then binding and I enjoy the binding.

I went out and checked my garden yesterday morning, and spend the rest of the day processing tomatoes. This AM it's cutting up peppers to freeze. However I did sneak in a bit of time working on my PP stars. I've got about 50 quarts of tomato sauce to simmer down to half that and then can up, but that only requires me being home to keep an eye on the pot. And since the long arm is in the dining room, it's real easy to do while quilting. So I'm hopeful I can get at least one quilt done this weekend.

I looked at my apple tree too, so I'll be making at least one pan of apple crisp tomorrow. Had a late frost so there aren't many apples on the tree, but enough for a few pans and bringing them to work keeps me popular in the office.

I finished quilting my Modern Rainbow quilt today. Now I just need to get it bound before Tuesday.

We won't look too closely at the backside, ok? I feel a need to applique something on top of those ridges, but I don't know what it would be.

Here's what is under my needle today.

First large project I have quilted on my sit-down Sweet 16, not perfect but not bad for a beginner LOL.
All finished except for the sewing the binding down and burying a few threads. This will be my GDG birthday gift - she will be 3 on Wednesday!

I have the bulk of my baby quilt top done but now I'm not liking the borders I was originally thinking of, light and then dark greens. I'm going to let it sit for a while and see if I can come up with something better. I'm practically out of the pink and blue fabrics, have both the greens and orange or I can add another color.

I really enjoy seeing everyone's projects and/or reading about them.

I am at a standstill right now because I wanted to put up a design wall for my Jungle quilt so I could look at it and think how I want to finish it since I'm almost out of the jungle print. Then inspiration hit me! I moved a shelf unit and taped some cotton batting to it for the quilt blocks but now I have a mess because I just pulled tubs, etc off of the shelves. Lol! I will deal with that later.

Here are the three main projects I'm working on. I'm designing the Jungle quilt and the wall hanging as I go. The wall hanging will have blocks that are significant in meaning for my niece and her husband.

We have so many Road Kills in this area that seeing an adorable fawn like that usually means it is orphaned; I hope in this case the baby and Momma are reunited. But watching them is a must when they are that close.

Sorry I put this in the wrong spot. Learning curve

Yeah! Finished another row by row today! Thanks for hosting this as it gives a little push to stay in the sewing room. I did manage to transplant a blueberry bush and have a walk to the grocery store to enjoy the nice weather.
Absolutely gorgeous pictures everyone, so many beautiful colours, that chain you're doing Maniacquilter is beautiful!

I ironed my 2sets of sunbonnet Sue blocks. I only have to sew 2 more and square them up and then label them and they are ready for the post office. Yea. 1 project almost done. If I don't have to work tomorrow, I can sew on my binding and cut out my mystery quilt. Otherwise I won't get to these until Wednesday. Happy Labor Day everyone.
