Loving all the photos everyone is sharing. I'm happy to see so many joining in - and we still have one more day in this long weekend. I got 4 quilts bound today, and I think I'm going to add a bit of applique to the first one. It didn't really work out how I had hoped, but I think this helps a bit.

This VQW is giving me so much motivation to get things done.

We have company and it's hotter than heck here so not much getting done here.

I cut 30 pieces of batting for my QAYG star quilt.

If I'm lucky I'll get 30 backs done before the day is out.

Still have no clue how I'm going to quilt them yet.

I'll have some NA mojitos and mull it over a while.

Hello, finished all 32 sugar blocks. Seems like this will be a big lap. Since they are 9 inch blocks. And I have 31 of the other blocks to get started on. Chosen size on measurements. But my mind was thinking lap quilt as being smaller. Still not sure about this scrapy thing yet. My mind fights it.

Well I have made a simple bagno handles to carry my book to my class reading for pleasure. After a search through the stash found this fabric, for outside and a bright fabric inside one zip and I was ready to go. This is the end result. It looks big but it will take a larger book if necessary.

Good grief how on earth does a cat manage to perch on top of a sewing machine of all places? Lol!

That one must really want to be in the middle of everything.

Wow Krista you have been productive. Did you machine sew the bindings?

I hand-sewed all the small quilts, but I did machine sew the larger one. I usually hand-sew all bindings, but last year started machine stitching some of my bindings on donation quilts, to give them a chance of actually getting finished

Wow! Everyone is really producing. I got my pillowcases finished and cut out 8 more to do today. I made a coins quilt top, and found fabric in my large stash for the backing. Not sure what I am going to do today. I am having trouble posting pics because I can't seem to reduce them enough. I have a new laptop and a new program for my photos, so I still need to figure out the reducing issue. I may make a simple rail fence with another jelly roll I have. One day I counted my jelly rolls, and lost count at 100, was afraid to count again. So I really need to use them up, or at least use some of them. So many ideas, so little time.....

Happy Labor Day. So much work going on here. Krista and butter, your work is awesome. Krista, you must be one of those battery bunnies! ;o) I did finish my tube blocks. Once trimmed, they are as close in size as I could get them. Not cutting off points will be a challenge when sewing. Will use sashing so that I can fudge a bit. Next step will be cutting of the sashing. Found a piece in my sash that matches the background of the focus fabric perfectly -- what are the odds?! I'm on a shopping moritorium and have been for a couple of years. Only have had to buy two backings and fusible interfacing.
