Yeah, I'm too OCD to live with that wonky plaid. But that's just me. And really, some people love that vibe. If it doesn't bother you, then I'd leave it.

Edited to say that I hadn't seen your replacement option when I wrote above. I like the red very much! Congrats!

I agree with those who think it should be changed.

What a difference the red makes. The plaid was giving just too much movement around the centre and distracting from it.

Sorry to say it, but were it me, I'd have to change it. With a plaid that large it bothers me that none of the segments line up, so I'd have to go with a different fabric altogether.
Of course, having said that, all that really matters is whether or not you can live with it. From you asking for opinions, I'm thinking not. and hugs!

Now of course, I see you changed it to the red print which is great! Well done!!

The piecing on the left side doesn't bother me, but the one on the right hand side where that last small piece is not on grain with the rest of that piece would bother me.

Then again most of the world doesn't have a clue. There was a teenager in church on Sunday with pants with big flowery stripes. The design on one leg vs. the other had a 10" different in stripe.

It would bother me. Is there anyway you can match the plaid so it isn't so obvious. I noticed you put a different boarder on it. The red brings out the colors of the center.

I think it looks just great! Love the center and that is the focus.
