    Default Let's Organize Something Today

Happy New Year, everyone. How about we start today by organizing something related to our sewing? Pick one area. I find it helpful (if I'm not in the mood) to set my timer for 15 minutes so that I have an ending time.

Some ideas for areas to improve by organizing:

    One stack.
    One drawer.
    Your cutting table.
    A pile of scraps.
    Your pegboard.
    Your thread.
Unwashed fabric that you want to wash.

    Or label what's already organized.

Last night I organized one dresser full of fabrics that had gotten all messed up on their own. Ahem!
Folded them neatly and took out ones that no longer appeal to me. Put them in ROYGBIV-ly order between foam dividers. (I cut dollar store foam board to size.)

Who's going to join me? Tell us what you're starting to conquer today. Don't overthink it!

I will clear all the Christmas stuff that somehow ends up on my sewing table off so I can actually sew!

I will clean out and organize one shelf today. I need to learn that if a fabric does not appeal to me, pass it on. LOL

OH, it's SO FREEING to pass it on. Get rid of it. Offer it free with a guessing game like I do. Or sell it cheaply on here. Or donate it locally to a guild--just GET RID OF IT somehow! You will thank yourself .

Oh Zozee, you are an enabler!
Thanks for getting us all fired up! And it's always so encouraging when that 15 minutes becomes 30 or 60 and we've done so much more than expected.
I'll tidy my sewing space, then get a UFO ready to sew - should be less than half an hour.

I will start with organizing all the Christmas fabric that is literally all over the place!

And what does ROYGBIV mean? (Maybe I can do that, too!)

    Thanks for the motivation!

I will try to organize my project to take to Dad's in a few days while I babysit him for a couple of weeks. Get my tools; fabric; machine; etc. together and ready to pack up in the car.

I organized a draw of scarves that was spilling over. Not related to sewing but does that count?
