Default Quilt Batting

I was wondering where is the best place to buy Quilter's Dream batting? Possibly in bulk?

I have tried Amazon, Hancocks of Paducah, Fabric.com, and Fabric Hut. So far Hancocks seems to be the best.

Thank you so much in advance!

Good Question. I have always considered it the Cadillac of batting which carries a premium price. Be interesting to find out the answer to your question. The problem with rolls is the shipping cost.

It is THE BEST batting I have tried, and I have tried many. I was hoping there were places were you could get a discount for buying 3-4 king size packages so I wouldn't have to buy a roll.

My advice if you do many quilts is to buy a roll of your favourite batting at the best price you can find. I just don't like packaged batts. I've seen too many with thick and thin places and so stuck together and wrinkled that it makes them very hard to use. I love Hobbs Polydown for my quilts that get a lot of hard use and washing and Hobbs 80/20 and always have a roll of each. Pricewise, the roll always works out cheaper for me.

I buy from here. It takes a long time for shipping but the price is worth it when my favorite batting is on sale.

This place sells rolls. I have never ordered from them.

If you have a good relationship with your LQS, you might see if she'd order a roll for you when she places her order. That way, shipping costs are split. I've done that twice with my LQS and then just pick it up at her store. (I think the volume she orders gives her a discount which she passes on to me).

I purchase mine from BattMart. They carry many, many different brands, types, sizes. My mom used to buy buffalo batts from them 30+ years ago, so they've been around a while.

I don't know where to find the best prices. I have gotten a couple really good deals at Amazon, but I haven't seen those prices since. Should have bought more than a few packages.

I have learned that Ebates.com is nice. If you purchase Fabric.com Ebates gives you cash back, so then I can take the cash back check and order more from Fabric.com to earn more cash back

I have gotten the best prices from Hancock's of Paducah when they had it on sale.
