Sew do you like putting them together after you have them quilted? I did one for a woman at work and it wasnt too easy for me to do but it was a first time try...I watched a video on You TUbe on how to quilt as you go. Id probably try it again but not for awhile! Love your blocks...30 you say?????????? oh my.....

This was only my second try at QAYG. The first was my Row by Row quilt, which had less pieces. I guess that one was my 'learning' quilt, because this time I'm finding it much quicker and easier. I put the 1" strip on the back, and the folded 1.75" strip on the front, so I can join the backs cleanly and then fold over the piece on top and topstitch it down as neatly as I can. My thread matches the fabric exactly, so I can barely see the topstitching. I just CANT hand stitch it down. Too much hand sewing. I sew my bindings down by machine too.

I have half the quilt put together already-- 3 out of 6 rows.

I know Kass uses this method, too.

Im kind of curious as to how the QAYG stand up to regular quilted quilts. It was easier the more I did it but not sure Ill try it again. Cant wait to see yours finished!!

I love qayg, it is the only way my quilts get quilted. I've tried several methods, I'm going to try a different method for the last BH mystery one from my head that I haven't seen yet.
