Default Need opinions on border

I'm making this little stash quilt (free pattern called Garden Gate). It would be great if I could finish it without buying any fabric. The only possibility I have on hand is this midnight blue solid, which is already cut into these strips. What do you think? I think I have enough of this light green to do a thin inner border.

If not this midnight blue, what type of fabric do you think I should look for for the border (I would have to shop for it on line).

I think those two borders will look good. For the purposes that you have made the quilt, being to use up stash fabric then this will work out fine. If you go the way of ordering fabric online then a dark green (one that is the same value as the dark green strip) for the last border would look nice. It is very pretty and would make a great wheelchair quilt or lap quilt for someone.

I like it without a border. Is that an option?

It's a fun scrappy.
ITA to go with the midnight blue against the blocks.
However, I would suggest a 1/4 turn on the top right black, and also the 2nd from the bottom on the left, so that you do not have their dark edges against your dark blue. Otherwise, they will kind of merge into the border.

Your light green would work with it too ... do you have enough of the midnight to go .... midnight, green, then midnight again?

Guess I'm going to be the odd one out. I think the dark blue will overwhelm the quiltif used for a border unless it is a very narrow border. I would use the light green and, perhaps, bind in the dark blue.
