    Lightbulb Fabric ideas needed

    Hi All,
I am making a T-Shirt Lap quilt. As you can see, the blocks are not the same size.
What color "Filler material should I use. Think Batik's in a "Water Stain pattern".
Thanks in advance for the advise.
    Mike

I don't see your picture! But I would choose a color that picks up ink colors rather than try to match a shirt fabric color.

That is probably because I failed to post it.
    Sorry.

I like your idea of water stain batiks. A light tone on tone works as well.

I always gravitate towards black. I think it makes everything else stand out. Or you could use black just for a sashing around each square.

I used both a batik and black.

I would go with a purple, where the darkest parts are about the same as the purple t-shirts.

I'm not sure what a water stain pattern is.

My first thought is something in the darker shade to for sashing. You can build up the smaller blocks in the 'matching' colors (example 'hope' and circled 'race' with pink, the small 'race' with white and pink). I might add cornerstones using all the colors scattered throughout. I'm sure that whatever you choose, it will be well loved. Please remember to post a finished pic.
