Default Lost breakfast casserole recipe

I've lost my breakfast casserole recipe. It had a dozen eggs scrambled, bacon, torn up bread, cheese on top, etc. Typing this makes me think I don't need a recipe, but I'd feel better with one as it's for a group I haven't met. 1990s, maybe. Any ideas?

I open up almost any church/organization type recipe book, and it seems like there are a dozen or so of those recipes in each one.

did a quick google search....over 800,000 hits. Bound to find the one you are looking for somewhere here......My family didn't care for the bacon and bread version, they liked the frozen hash brown and sausage version. So I don't have a tried and true version of the bacon based.

this has been our Christmas morning breakfast for eons and everyone loves it...Cheese Strada........

10 slices white bread, no crusts
1/3 c soft butter

3 c sharp cheese, grated

BEAT together….
8 slightly beaten eggs
3 c milk
1 t. salt
1 t. dry mustard
½ T. parsley
pepper

Spread butter on bread and cut into 4 slices

Butter a 2 qt. casserole and make alternate layers of bread and cheese
End with a cheese layer.

Pour egg mixture over bread & cheese layers…

Refrigerate at least 24 hours.

Remove 1 hour before baking

Bake 40/50 minutes @ 350 degrees

Broccoli, mushroom or ham may be placed after the first layer of bread
OR….canned onion rings on top

Leftovers can also be frozen and reheated in microwave.

Here is a link to "Breakfast Before". Along the lines of yours. My mother-in-law made this 55 years ago and it remains one of the most searched recipes on the internet. Great for groups:

The weekend wedding party that I needed the recipe for is over. Ended up using the raw egg and hash brown type - never found my bread and scrambled eggs one, but the one we used was good. We made one huge pan with sausage and one with ham and both disappeared. Thank you, every one for the responses.

My son rented a lodge that slept 25 with a house on the property that slept another 8, so we had a houseful to cook for.
