Default Glam Garlands for a Glam 17-year-old

I posted fabrics of this a long time ago and some as I was assembling it (I think). It is from a Modern Quilting book.
My daughter wanted the quilt for her double bed so I enlarged what was in the book - considerably.

Here it is on her bed. The grey background fabric matches the wall paint on this wall exactly. The other three walls are an icy blue. Her choices…

The back is the solid grey with the color bars in the last photo. The binding is one of the grey fabrics that looks like lace doilies (the 2nd photo, the grey garlands, 3rd from the left…).

I hand quilted a herringbone pattern and that was a challenge! Rather than quilt all the way across I went from the middle out and up and down each column (green, blue or grey), thinking that would be the easiest way to manage it. As I progressed the little inconsistencies became large ones and the rows are no longer the same distance apart throughout. I tried to correct it as I went, but to no avail.

Still, she will be delighted when she comes home on her 18th birthday just before Thanksgiving…

Thanks for taking a look!

Beautiful quilt and quilting. Never point at your mistakes.
I'm sure your daughter will love it.

I like it. I thought you did the unevenness on purpose and was wondering how you did that.
