I really love that Black, white and Red one, Sewbiz!

So far today I've managed to get the two columns for October highs and lows sewn onto my temperature quilt. I got a little more painted on the whole cloth, almost ready for thread painting. Just need to let that part dry and finish up the rest. While I'm waiting for it to dry, I'll make the high and low temp HSTs for Nov. 1-10 and I'll be all caught up on my temp. quilt. And, I finished one of the exercises in my new (used) thread book. Here's a pic of the temp. quilt with October added.

I'm sure that was scary for you both. Best wishes.

Looking good Midwife. You've got some beautiful fabrics and the distribution of color gives the quilt a lot of movement!

Great temp quilt Rob... I didn't realize that was done in HSTs, or is that just your take on it? So many HSTs! You can feel the change in temps as you look across the quilt.

Midwife, your layout is looking good! Cute quilt.

Everyone's projects are coming along great, I will be in partly. As, surprise visit from Sister in Law this weekend, and we get to puppy sit while she is at Cirque du Soleil then we are going out to dinner tonight and she is staying over. Will get some hand sewing done on a wall quilt I'm working on and have the son-in-law's quilt ready to go on the long arm on Monday. Wish me luck it will be my first one after my lesson. Found a shop near our town that the LQS rents her machine out once you have had the tutorial. In between time I will be cleaning the sewing room and the parlor. Will post pictures when I can.

Love seeing everyone's projects!
Just for fun, I thought I'd try the crayon tutorial that d.rickman posted not long ago.
Turned out cute.

I made a Betty Boop Christmas table topper. The Betty Boop Christmas fabric I got at a thrift store last year. I hope to get some more sewing done this weekend. Everybody is doing a great job on there projects.

Thanks Sewbiz-- no the temp quilt isn't normally worked in HSTs from what I have seen. I decided that I needed to improve my accuracy in piecing and since I wanted to do the Temp quilt challenge this year I thought that would be the perfect way to get in lots of practice piecing HSTs.

Watson- that looks like fun! And your feathers are awesome! Did you stitch them first and then do the crayon? I'm working on a small whole cloth quilt top using Inktense pencils and fabric medium that I plan to do some thread play with.

I stitched them first.
I bought Inktense pens today for my DH to do something with that I can quilt, but Crayons are more my speed.
