I can't be there so this is my contribution.
Since I have transitioned to my winter/spring home (with son and DIL) and I am the "cutter" for the bee here, the scrap donations have piled up monstrously. I have them to process as well. My growing UFO pile is about to topple over so one or two big things need to move off of that. My DIL is running a half marathon out of town and I am dog sitting so I am definitely in!
My goodness! Did you do ALL 8 tops in one day? What pattern are you using? I'd like to know because I'm doing some charity quilts right now and I need a quick, easy pattern that still looks complicated.

Great fleece hats, Rob! Is there a certain pattern you used?
Ditto here! Love the colors.

Cathy, that Ribbon Quilt that you're doing looks amazing. I love what you're doing with it, so far.

I'm a bit late, but am jumping in here. I've got a baby quilt top to finish, a couple ufo's to make progress on, etc.
Thanks to all for sharing pics of your projects! Happy stitching!

I love VQW, there is always such a wonderful variety of projects being worked on. It seems like each one is better than the last.

Whoo Hoo! My blue quilt is under the needle:-) It is so exciting for me to start this process.

Love the pictures of all the projects, thanks for sharing. I managed to piece a backing and some batting yesterday so hope to sandwich the lap quilt later today. It is the colour block rail fence leader/ender that I started and posted about before.

TSCWeaves- that's going to be gorgeous. Can't wait to see how you decided to quilt it!

QulitnNan- I bet I know how you know about photographing your layout LOL! It's looking good.

I love seeing vintage machines at work, TSCWeaves! Such a lovely sampler too. This morning I sewed the borders on my Fall sampler, then ironed the top and backing. I'll start basting it after lunch while my babies nap. Nap time = sewing time!

I finished up the round for the ribbon quilt and then decided I needed to do something different for a while. A few days ago (while looking for my Ipod) I found two Quick Curve rulers that I had forgotten I bought. So today I'm going to use the mini one and play with sewing curves for a while.

My favorite that fits this bill is the Double Slice Layer Cake by Jenny Doan. You start with 10" squares... either a layer cake or cut your own from stash. It looks great, has tons of movement, and is easy and fast to put together.

This is my favorite... a Christmas one (shown before quilting):

These both are 48 block layouts (6x8) so you would start with 48 10" squares. The quilt comes out nearly as big as the top of a double bed.
