Default Seeking Ideas for star sampler quilt

I've been thinking I'd like to make a star sampler quilt for a young couple who just got engaged. They were over for a visit, the first time they had been to our home even though we've known them for a few years.... they were amazed at the entire quilting process and very appreciative of the work involved.
I'd like to do a sampler quilt of different star patterns, with a common size of 12 1/2 inch squares, or a variety of star patterns/sizes that mesh together to make a throw sized quilt, as a gift for them.
I'm open to purchasing a pattern or book if someone can recommend one.
I'm not fond of searching forever trying to accumulate free patterns unless I can see the actual star pattern without clicking on a link to view each one. I find that frustrating....

I used Google and searched for Star Sampler Quilt Pattern. These are images https://www.google.com/search?q=star...ih=650#imgrc=_ If you click on one of the pictures, it may give you a link to the original website.

Try the Windham fabrics website. Got to free patterns and look there. There are a zillion, so hang in there! I'm pretty sure that's where I saw a star sampler pattern.

Craftsy has a great sale going on right now. I love the Jinny Beyer quilt which alternates log cabin with different paper pieced stars. It’s 50% off. I’m thinking of ordering it. Just have so many UFOs, which I’m sure so many of you can relate to. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Look on quilters cache. She has one page that is nothing but various star patterns.

These are suppose to be a major quilt (12 1/2" x 12 1/2" squares) but I am going to make three lap quilts. This might give you some ideas.

This was going to be my suggestion as well. Just pick out some stars that you like and go. Throw in some sashing and you're done!

The quilt in a day "All Star Sampler" has been on my bucket list for a while now:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NG133F4...a-303670646358
If you look on you tube, there is a detailed video for all the stars used.
Not exactly a traditional 12X12 sampler, but still beautiful.
I have the book, been gathering the fabrics... Maybe 2018 will be the year!

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions, I found what I wanted on the Windham fabrics website - there are about 1,000 free patterns there!
