Lightbulb 5 minute gift idea

http://www.littlebitfunky.com/2012/1...e+Bit+Funky%29

I received this chapstick holder as a gift in my birthday card..(minus the chapstick). It is a fun gift to be able to tuck into a card and send as a surprise. I made 8 of these for my nieces for Christmas. I filled them with a chap stick with fun flavors. I bought the silver loop in the jewelry dept. of Hobby lobby.

That is a great little project. It would work to attach to a ski jacket as well. My friend uses chap stick all the time, it would be a perfect gift for her.

Yes, Sewbiz girl is right...it is a key chain ring. The one I received had a key chain ring so I copied that idea. However the tutorial uses a D ring that has no opening. I use the loop at the top for easy finding of the chap stick in my purse.

Tothill commented that it would work well attached to a clip inside a ski jacket. Great idea!

Another tute has no metal ring at the top...instead you simply fold over the fabric strip at the top to make a flap and use velcro to hold closed.

Thank you. Your timing is perfect.i have had a chapstick holster made of neoprene for years and it is finally to stretched to hold the chapstick secure, so I have been trying to come up with a replacement since they no longer sell the neoprene ones anymore. Yours is perfect, now I have stocking stuffers for everyone. I carry mine attached to my purse zipper. Easy to find that way. Got to go sew...
