Over the years I've read postings here which have told of so many quilts given away. Some have never kept even one. I have given a fair amount away. Probably a third. That means I have kept about sixty.

How many do you keep? Or do they all leave your hands to go someplace else?

Nothing for me! I came late to quilting and have a very large family so I haven't got to me yet. I have the fabrics for a Garden gate quilt for my bed, but will not start it until I don't have a dog sleeping with me. Love my Spicy Spiral table runners, but neither of my dining room tables is big enough for one, so it's family and donations - lots, Judy 0.

I keep what I like so much I can give away. I'm sure that will change when I get more than I need. Right now I have 9.

Hmmm.... I have no idea how many I actually have at the moment, but I do know that when I put my Xmas things away, there were 6 of just them (I only have 2 queen size beds in the house, but I have 2 quilt racks and quilts to cuddle under on the backs of our recliners) I gift as needed or requested... and I also make comfort quilts.... I "love" quilting!

I've been making quilts for almost 20 years and I am just now making one for myself. I've put all requests on hold until I've rectified the fact that if a stranger walked into my house they wouldn't know that I make quilts. Sad.

I've probably got about 40 on hand (and another 25 floppies to quilt), so I need to get moving to find them homes. I've also got a large family, but do not live close to any of them, so giving them to family members takes some planning. Not sure what I'll start doing with them once I've given one to each family member, (have about 40 of them too). I don't want to keep a lot of them for myself.

I've only been quilting since about 2014, so if I don't re home, I'll be buried in no time.

None for me, unless you count the 6 ufo unfinished tops I have waiting to be quilted. LOL!

sort of the opposite for me, I've kept most of my quilts until very recently except for all the baby quilts I made for friends many years ago. I don't pump out quilts though, they are all intricate with lots of little pieces and I use two for every quilt so they take a long time to do. In the last two years I've given away about 10 quilts, all masterpieces in my own mind. what becomes of them after I gift them matters not to me.

After her death I brought home the double sided quilt I made for my little sister, and I've been cutting it into pieces when burying a beloved pet, another one this morning, I can't really say why other than it brings her closer somehow and since we don't have children we value our pets very highly
