Default Funny veterinarian story.

My daughter used to work for a vet. She told me this story today. A client brought in a black lab who hadn't been eating, vomiting and had diarrhea. The vet said those were signs of an intestinal blockage and x-rays were needed. When DD brought the x-rays up she and the vet saw a row of white round objects in the dogs intestines. The vet said they looked like the x-ray of a chicken about to lay eggs. DD said, "I think we can both agree that this dog is not about to lay eggs." So off to surgery they go. The vet opened the dog up and as he opened the intestine golf balls began sliding out. DD said they went everywhere. The dog had eaten 11 golf balls. When the owner found out he said he guessed he better not take the dog to the driving range with him anymore.

black labs eat anything. a friend of mine's lab ate a rock from their back yard that had to be surgically removed. They did a grid walk of the yard after that and removed all rocks and stones that he would eat.

My son has a yellow lab pup and he recently ate a rock. Son had to check his stool each day to see if it passed. He’s ok now.

Dh used to have a lab mix who ate a hockey puck and the arm off of a couch. Dog was fine.

We used to have a pit mix who LOVED to eat anything sharp! She ate a pin cushion full of pins and needles, a cactus plant and loved to play with porcupines (had to removed quills at least 25 times). Jessie went to live with a neighbor and never broke herself of the sharps habit. She was no worse for wear and lived to the ripe old age of 14.

We now have a malamutt (half malamute/half husky...ALL attitude) who loves to eat fabric. I can't keep her out of my sewing room. She ate a setting triangle off of a quilt top I had just finished making for DD. Had to buy more fabric to repair it! Buying more fabric shouldn't be a problem...but I really didn't like the fabric. Will gift the scraps of it to my guild. Molly will also defuzz tennis balls.

My German Shepherd is "perfect"...she has no bad habits, almost. She loves to herd me - at 110 lbs., she is good at it, too!
