Saw a demo at the Shipshewana quilt show. There is the jelly roll and then two rolls of batting, very thin, sewn down. There should be a tute on it. The rolls of batting were 12.xx$$. Really cute, trick is to easy the corners in and get it to lay flat.

I bought the pattern to make one a few months ago...it's here somewhere! Guessing you can tell that I haven't tried it yet! LOL But thanks for the reminder!

I just jumped off this site for about ten minutes and went to YouTube and there are many, many tutorials for jelly roll rugs. I even found some other interesting options for rug making out of fabric scraps. So, go and wander about YouTube and see what feeds you need to make a rug from jelly rolls or scraps.

Your rug is pretty but that's not the one I saw. The one I saw is rows of strips and it's rectangular.

they are very colorful, I have been toying with the idea mainly because I need small rugs for my small rooms and can't find anything I like on the market, thanks for sharing, they look great

Sewgood, love your rugs. They look like the ones made from fabric covered clothesline as demonstrated by Joyce Drexler. Many years ago, I tried my hand at Braided Rugs and had a lot of trouble with turning corners or increasing.

Very interesting about the strip rug. Here's what I found:

Pattern for rug:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/6074980...op_home_feat_2

Source for batting strips:

I bet if we did enough web searching we could find an online tutorial. I'm off to check it out. Here's one I found that doesn't require batting but you use a non slip backing for the back side. Cute idea.

Thank you so much for the links. I just order 2 rolls of the batting for some purses I want to make!
