Triple digit heat in Texas and no rain in our area for months, this will continue for several more months. No cool place here except inside !

Are you asking about ( cool) as in an escape from the recent summer heat? Or cool- as in a really “neat place”?

Staying inside in the air conditioning. There was a dusting of snow in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia this week.

Wow! Tartan! Snow?! I hope this word doesn't reach too many people in North Carolina! Here that word sends us to the nearest grocery store to stock up on Toilet Paper, Bread, Milk, Beer, Snacks, and lunch meats!! It doesn't really matter where the snow is forecasted for... we just panic!!

It's been in the high 90s here, very little rain, but it is normal for here in July, so that rush to the grocery stores would seem strange... except for watermelon and corn on the cob and soft drinks.

We don't have this hot until august and then not for long. it seems it is all across the country.

Not cool here either. Hot-hot-hot here too. We've had rain every day in May and June but it didn't cool off. The AC runs year round in our house.

Oh jetayre, how I feel your pain. I live fairly close to you geographically and this heat wave is stifling! And I live out in the country. I only have window unit AC in the bedrooms (1 of which is devoted to my LA and the guest room is where I do my piecing) needless to say, I have been spending as much time as possible in the AC. I keep hoping to see a cool down in the forecast and there isn't one. I imagine the sweet Alpacas in your avatar are really not happy in this heat. I know my animals are miserable. Even my chickens are panting.

We are in something with air conditioning - house, car, etc. or in the subdivision pool.

It was cool in Northern Indiana this a.m. I got out and weeded an entire flower bed from 7 to 8. I think it was only in the low 70s. Very pleasant, had to swat a few mosquitoes, but then about 3 p.m. I looked at the little weather station and it said 92!!! I've been in here all day trying to put sashing on the fall star swap.

The automatic irrigation system mal-functioned and drained all the fertilizer out and watered everything two or three times over. I guess that is a good thing. Any place that does not get irrigation, is bone dry. Usually it turned off real dry on the 4th of July.
